In the Philippines every Cities, Town, Municipalities, and even Barangay have their own signature festivals celebration. Like in Brgy. Concepcion a rural area in Talisay City Neg. Occ., they celebrated MARADULA festival. Where marang, mangosteen, rambutan, durian, lanzones, and other assorted fruits are growing bountifully and it boosts the livelihood in Brgy. Concepcion , Talisay City.

What is MARADULA festival? 

The MARADULA festival  is a celebration of fruitful harvest every year and to thank god for the abundant blessings. MARADULA is the short name for the abundant fruit in Brgy. Concepcion. Where MA is stand for mangosteen and can also stand for marang, RA is stand for rambutan, DU stand for durian and LA stand for lanzones. Although there are many fruits in Brgy. Concepcion but the maradula fruits seem to be the most prolific fruit bearing trees. 

Activities in MARADULA festival        

 

Just like other festival, MARADULA festival had a holy mass, caravan, bingo, pageant for MARADULA queen, MARADULA street and arena dance competition, live band and the most awaited of the guest is the giving packs of fruits. Yes! After the mass they gave out fruit packs for the guest to share the abundant fruit blessings to others.

Fruits eat all you can

Some farm in Brgy. Concepcion offers eat all you can or you can just buy per kilo. Like the JKN fruit farm if you choose their eat all you can offers the rate is P150.00 per person. You can stay as long as you want during the day and eat all can.
